Our Story
I am based in South Western Sydney and have been working in pharmacy for a very long time, but my favourite ‘job’ is being a mum to my two kids. I am a carer for my daughter Rachel with special needs. My experience raising and caring for Rachel is the inspiration for Living Easier with Disability.
“Better to regret doing something than regret not doing it.”
Living Easier with Disability is a brand, a community, a resource, an app and a website. It was conceived from an idea I had whilst at a lunch at Towradgi Bowling club. The idea was originally for a book of social stories for the disabled and over the coming weeks, this idea was built upon until we had LED (Living Easier with Disability).
Our ideas were spread out on a map of dozens of A4 sheets of paper. That map just kept getting larger and larger as the ideas for the App flowed from both of us. Introducing my Co-Founder and partner in business, Neil. The one-stop website for Disability resources developed as a very natural companion to the App and fits well with the purpose of making things easier and accessible to those that need the support of the Disability Community.
We could not be more excited to improve the lives of everyone involved in travelling, learning, growing, teaching, struggling, changing, supporting and living easier with disability.
